Louis

1966

Clay. 28 x 14 x 17 cm

This statuette,  portraying  Herman Wald’s youngest son,  is an intimate and tender expression of  love of a father seeing himself reflected in the nine year old boy.  He  is captured in a dreamy mood of reverie. His quizzical expression is a sign of an enquiring mind, while the upward gaze hints at dawning spiritual aspirations.
